Tammy Fae Messner dies.
July 21st, 2007According to CNN, Tammy Faye Messner has passed away.
Tammy Faye Messner, the former televangelist and Christian singer who battled drug addiction and later inoperable cancer, died Friday morning, CNN's Larry King said Saturday night. He said the family had asked him to make the delayed announcement.
She was 65. "She died peacefully," King said. Messner was a guest on "Larry King Live" on Thursday. She said she couldn't swallow food, and weighed only 65 pounds. King asked her Thursday if she were "a little scared." She responded, "A little bit," adding that she mainly worried about her family.
RIP Tammy Faye. Watching her last few days on Larry King Live was grim stuff, so I'm glad she is finally out of her misery. Tammy Faye is the kind of kind soul who, despite thick make-up and eccentric fashion sense ammo, could not be attacked on a site like this, because she was a genuinely good person.

Tammy, you were a wonderful human being and I have been a loving fan of yours for years and it devastated me when i heard the news… and even though I am not a religious person i know you are in a better place now. For Tammy’s family I am greatly sorry for your loss. Tammy wasn’t just a loss to you, but a loss the the whole world.
Bye Bye Tammy Faye

It was hard for me to see Tammy so frail and weak on Larry King on Thursday, remembering that she was just on TBN last year praising God. tammy fought the good fight of faith. Even when you made mistakes you wanted others to learn from them and believe in Jesus Christs’ forgiving love. Even in your final hours you wanted people to know of the Lord. You will always be dear in my heart. You were a pioneer of faith and you inspried many to be themselves and now you are at rest. I’ll have a big hug for you when I see you. I love you always.

Man I saw her a few days before she passed on ET. She looked really bad and I was getting a vibe that she didn’t have long left.
God rest her soul. She seemed to be a very brave lady. I don’t know what else to really say. I never really knew what exactly she did but that last ET review showed me how strong of a person she is. I really hope that if there is an afterlife she is taking part in the best of it.

Dear friends and family of Tammy. I only just now relieved the news of her departure.
I was an avid PTL club watcher and my whole Christian life was enhanced by this women. May she be finally rewarded and blessed as she enters eternity with the greatest of dignity and peace.
God bless Tammy Fae and her family.
