According to the tabloids in America this week alone, Britney Spears has
A. Had lesbian sex with her assistant.
B. Screwed a college kid who, in pictures, appears to be harrasing her.
C. Hit Kevin Federline on the head with a frying pan
D. Been served legal papers by an ex-commando
E. Started plans for a comeback performance at the VMAS
F. Been feeding her kids soda and doritos and trying to get their teeth whitened.
G. Called her kids a "big mistake".
The list goes on, no, literally. She's on the very front page as the lead story for over 6 tabloids and magazines this month alone, and how many photo shoots and interviews did she do? Not one. The press continues to spin the Spears stories, fabricating as they go along, and people BELIEVE it because it fits into a model of celebrity decline we are trained to expect. Wake up everyone. Wake up and stop listening to this trash. Enough is enough.
People keep shooting down Spears for being crazy and a bad mother. What? Have you met her? If not then how do you know if she's a bad mother? In fact, all of those (now greatly reduced - despite what the press are spinning) times we see Britney out on the town are during the half of the week she does not have her children according to X17, who have an interview up which appears to discount nearly everything you've read, this interview had no financial gain and it puts a little bit of a different perspective on things. Maybe it's spin from Spear's camp.
I know this website is based upon gossip and reporting on tabloid stories, but I had always assumed the readerbase here was smart enough to understand that these stories are largely bullshit. The whole putting this nasty crazy spin on them is supposed to underline the ridiculousness of hearing about how Catherine Zeta Jones injects eggs into her eyeballs - because it's all a crock. Nearly everything we read is lies. This website underlines those lies by taking them to ridiculous extremes.
This Spears situation has outlined some major problems in our society. Not only our hunger to see the mighty fall, something which roots from jealousy, but our prejudice against young mothers. Britney Spears is expected to spend her every waking minute next to her kids indoors. She has to sacrifice her life in its entirety to her children. The only time the public want to see her out without them now is if she's pursuing a career to entertain us. Living a life of a single person in their twenties is no longer a option.
It's especially unhealthy in her case considering she couldn't live a teenage life in normality either. We as a public seem to think of her as our property, our performing puppet, because we made her, and for her to live a life in an attempt of normality, well that is just complete dis-respect. Whatever. The point is that this insatiable hunger to see her decline and fail is not going to stop unless you all start wisening up and separating the bullshit from the truth and not paying attention to these shitty tabloids.
I'm not denying the Spears is erratic right now, she is clearly not in a great place. She's definitely not crazy though, just exhausted by the constant control people try and assert on her and the expectations the public have of her. Girl needs some genuine friends, a genuine husband and a family who genuinely cares. I'm not going to push the whole "Stop reading about celebrities, there are more important things in the world right now" hell, considering how i profit off of this it's in my best interests to have people read gossip.
That said, don't believe what we are force fed. Every time i read a celebrity story i assume it's false when I report it to you. This makes it easier to laugh at the situation and the insanity of the stories. Yes Hollywood is crazy. Yes people like Lindsay Lohan who is actually pretty wild, make us assume the worst is always true of celebs these days, but man, Britney telling her kids they were a mistake? If that's not a cruel hook thought up by a trash tabloid editor then I don't know what is.
The fall of Spears shows what a ruthless world we live in, how we enjoy putting stars at the pinnicle of their career, but truly relish in tearing them back down. Britney Spears is a smart girl, she knows how the industry works, but she has fired all of the people around her who carefully controlled and presented her image for years. What we are seeing is the reality behind a celebrity spinned uncontrollably by a vicious media.
I don't know Britney Spears. It's not helping me to defend her. But I just don't know how much longer one human being can withstand such universal public disdain at every turn and every action. It would really be a tragedy if she was the first death in Hollywood down to us. Celebrity is a fascinating social status. Britney Spears is it's most noteworthy victim.

Fuck you, you trash talk about other celebrities, oh i see you pick and choose the ones you want to defend. everybody can’t be making up stories about Britney spears, oh ya your right, here’s a good one they made up. she marry a man she barely knew and divorced him 55hr later or maybe the one where she married a man who had a pregnant girlfriend and a child. oh oh maybe the one where they mentioned she partied without any panties, or maybe when the tabloids said she walk into a hair saloon around midnight and shaved her head bald and appeared to be on something or maybe when she went to rehab several times and checked herself out several times, or the one where she was topless in the pool with a college guy.. SHut up, this girls behavior for a mother is out of control. imagine the stuff the tabloid don’t know. Shit Britney should hire you as her P.R person, considering your very good at spinning the truth.

I agree w/LeLe. She is an unfit parent. Not to mention tacky. No one says she should’t go out, but why can’t she show some class. Don’t forget her smashing the window of the paps and her “alleged” lesbian tendancies. Her disgusting behavior at the clubs, her having her mom served and inviting the paps alone for the show, why are we so surprised at her behavior, she’s trailer trash yall!
